“Where we are in alcohol right now is pretty much where we were in tobacco in 1989,” says Dartmouth’s James Sargent in a Christian Science Monitor story about studies that suggest that the portrayal of alcohol use in movies is linked to teen drinking.

Sargent is a professor of pediatrics and of community and family medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine and a professor at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice.
